Sasheer Zamata Leaving Saturday Night Live

Saturday Night Live has lost another cast member.

Sasheer Zamata is departing from the long-running sketch comedy series after four seasons, The Hollywood Reporter announces. Zamata follows fellow SNL stars Bobby Moynihan and Vanessa Bayer, both of whom are exiting the show after nine and seven seasons, respectively.

After hopping aboard the show in 2014, Zamata quickly gained clout amongst the SNL cast. The first black female cast member to join since Maya Rudolph departed seven years prior, Zamata had viewers in stitches with her spot-on impressions of singers like Diana Ross, Solange Knowles, and Rihanna, and the former First Lady herself, Michelle Obama.

Zamata confirmed her departure following the SNL finale on May 20. She took to Instagram, posting a photo of her on stage with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kate McKinnon, Scarlett Johansson, and musical guest Katy Perry, among others. Zamata captioned the photo, "Wow. What a fantastic end to a fantastic season. Thanks SNL."

Saturday Night Live recently wrapped its most-watched season in 23 years, and there's plenty that goes into making the show as successful as it is. Find out all the hidden secrets by reading the untold truth of Saturday Night Live.
