M. Night Shyamalan Announces Cast, Title, Date For Unbreakable 2

For years, we've all been wondering if we'd ever see an Unbreakable sequel, and now we finally have the answer. (Be warned. We're about to spoil the ending of Shyamalan's most recent film.)

Earlier today, M. Night Shyamalan took to Twitter and officially announced that his upcoming film would be a follow-up to both Unbreakable and Split, his recent horror hit starring James McAvoy. True, most fans assumed this was going to happen after Bruce Willis showed up in the last few seconds of Split, but Shyamalan also dropped all sorts of exciting news about his new "crazy comic book thriller," including the cast, title, and release date.

After tweeting that he'd finished writing the script, Shyamalan announced that Unbreakable 2 will star both Bruce Willis and James McAvoy. The two superbeings are undoubtedly going to throw down on the streets of Philadelphia, but the director wasn't done with the casting announcements just yet. Shyamalan also revealed that Anya Taylor-Joy will return as Casey Cooke, and best of all, Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Elijah Price. And that probably has something to do with the title, as Unbreakable-Split 2 will be called Glass.

The filmmaker also revealed that Glass would break into theaters on January 18, 2019, courtesy of Blumhouse Productions and Universal Studios. If you want to see Shyamalan's tweets for yourself, we'll embed them below so you can check them out. And while you're waiting to watch David Dunn face off against "The Beast," be sure to check out some of the things we'd like to see in Shyamalan's new movie.
