Watch Two New Trailers For Edgar Wright's Crime-Comedy Baby Driver

For a film that sounds like an infant dangerously operating a motor vehicle, renowned filmmaker and director Edgar Wright's latest film Baby Driver is anything but. It's action-packed and edgy, and the first two trailers released today prove that.

Shown in full at the currently-ongoing South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, Baby Driver gave film-lovers on the outside of the event a pair of sneak peeks for what's in store. The film stars an unfathomably cool, yet effortlessly so, cast that includes the likes of Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Lily James (Downton Abbey, Cinderella), and Kevin Spacey (c'mon, you know who Kevin Spacey is).

But who is the baby behind the wheel? The Fault in Our Stars's Ansel Elgort, who brings a literal baby-face to the film's ensemble and seems to fit in quite well with the stylish aesthetics, sharp editing, and ebb-and-flow visuals that are unique to Wright's other flicks. Toss those in with some full-throttle race-cars, bullet-blasting guns, and a hefty dose of witty dialogue, and you've got Baby Driver.

Take a look at the first film trailer above, then watch the international trailer below:While the domestic glimpse at Baby Driver is, admittedly, super cool, the latter is the one that will have most fans, their friends, and filmgoers alike wanting more. It leans a little less on the extras and swims the deep with the film's plot and high-velocity stakes.

Still yearning to learn more about the film? Here's the synopsis for your reading pleasure:

"A talented, young getaway driver relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams, Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss, he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom."

Baby Driver puts the pedal to the metal to arrive in theaters on August 11. Until then, find out why the upcoming flick's director actually turned down a big-budget blockbuster in the past.
