Bright teaser reunites Will Smith with Suicide Squad director
In a world where Suicide Squad is now an Oscar-winning movie, anything is possible. But the world of Bright is filled with even more surprises.
Netflix revealed a teaser for the next team-up between Will Smith and director David Ayer, and although Bright won't debut until December, it looks like an intriguing blend of cop drama and fantasy mythology. It's sort of like Bad Boys if it was written by J.R.R. Tolkien.
In the teaser (set to the old-timey American standard "This Land is Your Land"), we're introduced to Smith's Scott Ward, a human cop who patrols a dystopian world where humans and mystical creatures like orcs, elves, and fairies have lived alongside one another since the beginning of time. Smith's partner is an Orc played by Joel Edgerton, and together the duo uncover a darkness that will change everything forever.
Although few details have been revealed about the Netflix original movie, we'll definitely start to hear more as we get closer to the premiere. Meanwhile, find out why we never got to see I Am Legend 2.
