Fan Photo With Jason Momoa Goes Viral For Hysterical Reason

There are many reasons why the world loves Jason Momoa: He stole and broke hearts as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, he made a splash as Aquaman in Justice League and will do it again in his own standalone movie this year, and his tattoos and hair inspire serious style envy. The list is already miles long, but we have yet another item to add to it: Momoa recently took a photo with two fans at a convention, and the world can't stop laughing about.

Liz Medendorp, who goes by the username twoforjoy on Imgur, attended Denver Comic Con back in June. There, she had the chance to take a picture with the Game of Thrones alum. But it wasn't a typical meet-and-greet moment. As she explained on Imgur, "I told my husband I wanted a picture alone with Jason Momoa, but he wasn't comfortable with that."

Anthony Mendendorp, the husband in question, hopped into frame (ostensibly to ensure no funny business went down), but Momoa ending up getting the last word.

The snap shows Liz and Momoa smiling wide, with Momoa's left arm wrapped around her shoulder and his right arm pushing Anthony away, as if to say, "Your wife is mine now!"

Momoa later added a cherry on top of the priceless picture by signing his autograph directly over Anthony's face.

The internet is clearly loving the photo, and Momoa is as well. According to Liz, "He was all about it. When he saw the print-out to sign it, he said, 'This is f***ing amazing.'"

It's evident Momoa meant no harm to Anthony or disrespect to the Mendendorps' marriage in doing what he did in the snap (let's not forget Momoa has a wife and two children of his own), and some have even suggested that Anthony wasn't genuinely annoyed at the possibility of Momoa cuddling up to his wife for a picture. "He just wanted Jason Momoa to touch his face. Checkmate," one Reddit user wrote.

And it turns out that's partially true. Liz later revealed to Bored Panda that her husband's discomfort actually stemmed from not wanting to pay for a photo if he wasn't going to be in it, and that Momoa was totally on board with the joke when the couple pitched the idea to him.

"I did kind of want to have my own picture (really, who can blame me?), but in reality, the only thing my husband 'wasn't comfortable with' was actually just the idea of us spending that much money on a picture if he wasn't going to be in it, so he decided to make the most of it," Liz said. "[Momoa] handled it expertly: 'Will you do prom pose with my wife while I stand photoshopping distance away?' 'Hell yeah!' was Momoa's immediate response. Before I knew it, the camera flashed, and everyone in the booth around us was laughing. As we were shuffled toward the exit, I heard Momoa call out, 'My man — that's going to be the best one!'"

After giggling at this funny fan photo for far too long, an old adage comes to mind: In the game of meet-and-greet photos at conventions, you either watch your partner pose alone with a mega-muscled actor and shell out serious cash for the picture, or you get a hand in your face, over 3,000 comments on Reddit, and the lasting reputation as a "victim" of Jason "Mr. Steal Your Girl" Momoa.
