Thanos Throws A Moon In New Avengers: Infinity War Photos

Contains spoilers for Thor: Ragnarok

When most people throw a tantrum, they usually throw a phone or a pen or something like that. But Thanos is not most people. In fact, he's not people at all.

Entertainment Weekly has a new batch of images from Avengers: Infinity War, and one of them shows the villainous Thanos (Josh Brolin) literally throwing a moon. Check it out below.

In Infinity War, Thanos is on a quest to obtain all of the Infinity Stones in order to wipe out half of the universe. But he's already got two of them: the blue Space Stone (more on that later) and the purple Power Stone. That's how he's able to pull a moon out of orbit and crash it into a planet. Although some fans have theorized that Thanos is standing on Xandar (where the Nova Corps was guarding the Power Stone), Marvel told EW the scene actually takes place on Titan, the crumbling home world of Thanos.

But wait? How did he get the Space Stone? It was locked away in the archives of Thor's planet Asgard. Turns out that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) grabbed it before Asgard was destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok. Thanos originally sent Loki to retrieve the Space Stone in the first Avengers movie, but he failed and lost the staff that housed the yellow Mind Stone that gave life to Vision.

The other new photos are pretty interesting, too. We've got a shot of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and Wong (Benedict Wong) all together. According to the report, Banner crashes back to Earth after the events of Thor: Ragnarok just as a mysterious spaceship appears over New York City.

Another image shows Col. James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) walking again after he was paralyzed in a crash as War Machine. He's standing next to his old frenemies Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who have been fugitives since Captain America: Civil War.

But that's far from the only team-up in the movie. It looks like Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Banner work with Wakandan technology chief Shuri (Letitia Wright) while Thor (Chris Hemsworth) partners with Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Teen Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) for their own quest.

Other photos show Spider-Man (Tom Holland) after he spots the ominous alien ship over New York and Loki, presumably when he gives the Space Stone to Thanos.

We'll find out how everything plays out when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27.
